Our Mission

Battery Safe provides certified, UK-designed containment solutions to reduce the growing risks associated with lithium-ion batteries. As demand increases across vehicles, tools, warehousing and recycling, the need for reliable, compliant safety systems has never been greater.

A highly skilled team of engineers with over 90 years’ combined experience, headquartered in the North West and trusted by clients throughout the UK and Europe.

Who We Are

Fire containment, materials and performance assurance

The enclosure is constructed using Firesure® fire protection board, a specialist insulation material developed specifically for high-risk fire containment. Unlike some products on the market, no additional filler materials such as pyrobubbles are required to achieve compliance or performance, reducing ongoing costs.

Firesure® is backed by failure to perform (efficacy) insurance

Integrated fire protection without additional filler materials

Insurance cover up to £10 million

No requirement for secondary filler materials

Faster deployment and simpler handling

  • Fire containment testing under simulated thermal runaway conditions in line with LP906

  • Drop testing conducted in accordance with UN Model Regulations Part 6.1.5.3

  • Stack testing to UN Model Regulations Part 6.1.5.6 with a sustained load of 2173.65kg for 24 hours

  • Material durability testing validating insulation and venting performance

  • External temperature maintained below 100°C for over three hours, significantly exceeding UN safety limits

Independently tested under extreme conditions

Testing & Certification

  • UN Chapter 6.1

Tested & Certified To:

Every Battery Safe container undergoes extensive testing under extreme thermal runaway conditions.

  • UN LP906
